Another good preformance on Sunday. As a team we continue to improve and I certainly couldn’t fault the attitude and commitment which was excellent again.
Our handling skills were really good from the start and we had the majority of the possession in the first half. This led to a couple of well taken tries from full back Luke Ashworth and no 8 Ben Davies, both converted by fly half and captain Daniel Thomas.
In the second half we continued to play well but Newtown also improved and scored some nice tries. We managed to score one try, a well taken touchdown by centre Reece Owen converted again by Thomas. Despite coming close on several occasions we just couldn’t breech the stern Newtown defence.
There was nothing between the two sides but Newtown were slightly mor organised possibly. Our decision making is good, but support play was a little slow. It’s something we can work on and will certainly improve by the next game. Man of the match was second row Sei Jones, excellent in the line out and a high work rate in attack and defence.
Overall a really good team preformance and a deserved win is not far away.
Thanks to the parents for the support and for the helping preparing the food. Much appreciated.
