Dolgellau Rugby Club appoint new coach Cellan For the 2016/17 season
Dolgellau RFC have appointed a former local player to take over the position of 1st Team Head Coach for the 2016/17 season. Former player Cellan Lewis 33 takes over the duties from Eifion Griffiths who left the club last season.
Cellan who played scrum half mainly for the second team has a ‘Level 1’ coaching certificate and has almost completed his ‘Level 2’. His duties will include overseeing training, team selection and the management of the team on match days.
Said Cellan “ My main objective is to ensure that the players are fit for the coming season and that there is an improvement in our performances from last year”.
Dolgellau’ status in the new North Wales league structure is still in the melting pot with no decision as yet being made as to where they will fit into the leagues programme. END
