Girls only cluster rugby started in Meirionnydd on Friday when 60 youngsters aged between 7 and 15 descended on the Marian, Dolgellau to enjoy the launch of the Rebels. The girls enjoyed a fantastic and fun session led by rugby leaders and local club coaches including Welsh Women’s international Elen Evans.
Cluster rugby is a WRU initiative to create opportunities for girls to try all formats of rugby in a girls only summer environment. The Rebels North will alternate between Dolgellau RFC and Bala RFC on a Friday evening from 5pm until 7pm and is inviting girls from the local area to take part and try the game of rugby in a relaxed and fun way.
